Peer Review Process

The International Medical Graduates Research Journal (IMGRJ) is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer-review process.

Initial Editorial Review

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to determine whether they:

• Fit the journal’s aims and scope

• Meet basic scientific and ethical standards

• Follow the journal’s submission requirements

• Are suitable for external peer review

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be declined before external review.

External Peer Review

Manuscripts selected for peer review will generally be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate:

• Originality and scientific relevance

• Study design and methodology

• Accuracy and interpretation of results

• Clinical or educational significance

• Ethical considerations

• Quality and clarity of presentation

Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers may recommend:

• Accept

• Minor Revision

• Major Revision

• Reject

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The final editorial decision remains with the journal’s editors.

Revisions

When revisions are requested, authors should submit:

• A revised manuscript

• A point-by-point response to reviewer comments

• A clear description of changes made

Additional rounds of peer review may be requested when necessary.

Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and should decline an invitation when they cannot provide an independent and objective review.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted for peer review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, distribute, or use unpublished information from a manuscript outside the review process.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on the scientific quality, relevance, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

Authors’ nationality, institution, career stage, or status as an International Medical Graduate will not influence editorial decisions.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief or designated editor is responsible for the final decision regarding publication.
